Every year, Chinese citizens spend nearly a whole month celebrating their New Years, and due to this fact most major businesses close during the holidays. Also, shipping outflows slow to a trickle and thus, our huge trade deficit with China, at least for that one month, shows the US making headway in balancing our trade deficit with the world’s second largest economy. Each year when this happens the Obama Administration has taken credit for these economic gains, claiming that things are improving, when in actuality they aren’t, not much. Our challenges with China are still what they are whether it be the year of the Rat, Dragon, or in 2013 the Snake. Will the Obama Administration attempt to claim major economic progress with our US exports, and take credit for a job well done? Oh, I bet they do, and they’ll tell us they are helping to create export production and manufacturing jobs. Yes, the State Department acts more like the Commerce Department when doing diplomacy often enough, but, even for every step forward, in the real world they are taking us a couple back. The numbers don’t lie, only those who report their numbers as achievements at the Obama Administration.Apparently, this 2013 State of the Union address is proof positive of the reality behind the teleprompter’s in chief’s hollow words and soon to be hollowed out military. All that money they are borrowing is ending up in China which continues reporting year-over-year GDP growth between 7-10%, and yes, they fudge their official numbers too, but they are doing better than us, because we are funding their growth. Luckily, for the Obama Administration, China is using some of that money to buy back their mistakes, buying US companies like A123 Batteries along with technology funded by the US taxpayers.I’d surely like the Obama Administration to explain to me why the taxpayer has to pay for their mistakes 3-times, and all the interest it ensues. But, alas all we ever get is more speeches about jobs, you know all those jobs we don’t have, haven’t had, and cannot sustain as they march us off the cliff of socialism, all the while they claim we need to work together, really, because where I am standing working with the Democrats and allowing them to run this game plan has gotten where we are today. Hmm, maybe 2013 is appropriately names; The Year of the Snake? Please consider all this on a purely philosophical level, and do comment if you care to opine.
