If you are one of the growing number of people who believe network marketing is a viable business option; the first decision you must make is which opportunity is best for you. There are a dizzying array of network marketing opportunities available today in fields from soaps, vitamins, and nutrition to legal services, personal development, auto clubs and on and on…Here are some questions to help you clarify your objectives and decide which network marketing opportunity is most suitable for you.1. What are your objectives? Are you joining the company mainly to obtain a dealers’ discount on products you like?Do you seek to supplement your job or retirement earnings?Do you seek to build a serious six figure income?Your objectives could determine which network company is most suitable. The company you join to get a discount on products you like is not necessarily the company you should join to build a serious six figure income.2. How stable is the company you are thinking of joining?A friend of mine worked hard and built up an income of more than $60,000 per month with a nutritional company. Than the company collapsed. Not a pretty picture! You don’t want to experience that. It is wise to choose a company which has been in business for at least five years, has steadily growing profits and a good business reputation.3. What does your heart tell you?The financial investment is usually small, in network marketing, compared to other businesses. However, don’t let anyone tell you success comes easy. To succeed in network marketing, you need to be committed to your cause. You need to be a crusader. The desire to earn money is not enough to get you through the tough times, which are practically inevitable. You need to put your heart in it. You need to have a strong desire to help others succeed. Choose a company in which you feel you can add real value to peoples’ lives.4. Does the company offer you the chance to earn secure residual income? One of the most wonderful things about network marketing is that it offers people, who are unable to or choose not to invest a lot of money, the opportunity to earn residual income. Meaning income that flows to you from direct and indirect customers even if you are unable to work, on holiday or retire. It can also flow to your heirs after you pass away.Yet few network marketing companies actually do offer secure residual income. For instance:Most network companies market skin care, nutrition, personal development and other products people may enjoy, but do not require. Your customers may love your products. But will they keep buying them if they lose their jobs or encounter other financial hardships? When times get tough, many customers stop ordering non essential products and services. That is why you are better off to market products which customers need to carry on normal lives such as phone services, internet, energy etc. People generally do not stop paying their phone, internet and energy bills no matter how tough times get. This means your residual income is more secure when you market essential products and services.5. Can and will the people who recruited you offer you the support you need to succeed? Some network marketers simply recruit as many people as they can and let them sink or swim. Under these circumstances, the vast majority sink. People need support and help to succeed in network marketing. Some network marketers have good intentions but they lack the experience and skill to help their recruits succeed. To maximize your chances of success, you need mentors who want to help you succeed and have demonstrated the experience and skill to do so. As well as good corporate training programs, of course.Honestly answering these questions will go a long way towards maximizing your chances of living the network marketers’ dream of freedom, financial success and achieving the lifestyle they want for themselves and their families. All the best!Ken HabermanP.S. It doesn’t hurt that the network marketing company I chose is strongly endorsed by world famous multi billionaire businessman Donald Trump and was featured on his hit show Celebrity Apprentice in both 2009 and 2011!P.P.S.
