Well, many people in academia seem to think that we need more gun control. It’s amazing how folks in academia claim to be one with history and claim to know more than all of us – and yet, they disregard their own history, and the history of the human race with a call for draconian measures and more gun control. They obviously don’t understand what our founding fathers understood at a philosophical level, and you must understand that until humans cease to act like humans, we are going to need guns to protect ourselves, especially when those humans are running a government which is so busy trying to impede our rights.I find it especially troubling when our colleges and universities are teaching kids to think like socialists, and micromanage their environment in a way that they do at school. They somehow want to bring the college campus and make America one giant college campus. What they fail to realize is that most of academia is sitting in a giant socialist bubble ready to pop economically. The tuition costs are too high, and everyone is living in la la land, while all the students are defaulting on their debts. I’m not sure I want to read anymore academic reports telling me why the government should take away the rights of gun owners. The USA Today has fully engaged in political propaganda by publishing an article on March 7, 2013 titled; “Study: States with more gun laws have less gun violence,” by Yamiche Alcindor which had an interview which was quoted; “Our research gives clear evidence that laws have a role in preventing firearms deaths,” said Eric Fleegler, the study’s lead investigator and a pediatric emergency doctor at Boston Children’s Hospital. “Legislators should take that into consideration.”Right, okay so, my research shows that when academic institutions have more rules on academic professors not to engage in political propaganda that students are able to get a better education for lower costs. So, we need more rules on academia against such bogus reports, and thus, we must throw away this one and disregard it completely. What is the difference if big business hires big lobbyists in Washington DC and creates a crony capitalist incestuous relationship between big business and government, or if the universities and academia with their revolving door do the same promoting a socialist agenda? Either way, it’s the same problem overall philosophically speaking, in the end all we’ve done is curtail the rights of citizens in our country. That’s not what our country is about. It isn’t about the socialist model of academia, it is about the individual, and somewhere along the line academia decided that it wanted to control all the minds of each and every individual who went through their establishment. I’m here to tell you, that once those the individuals are no longer thinking, they are nothing more than an army for socialist rule. And, if they aren’t thinking, then why do we need academia?Further, why should I as a taxpayer have to pay for it, or cover for those bad student loans of college students who were promised they could get a job with that piece of paper stating that they know something, I’d really like to know? It’s time we called an ace an ace, and a spade a spade, and realized that we are being had. If academia wants to take our guns, let’s defund their bubble and turn off that noise and save some taxpayer’s money.
